Michael Keaton is an American actor producer and director most well-known for his role in the film 'Birdman. He's a versatile actor who is able to play comedic and dramatic roles. He also has played several romantic characters and appeared in several action thrillers in his career. His passion for the acting profession began when he was when he was in his teen years. He began to try stand-up comedy in his early 20s. The comedy venture did not go well, but it was the beginning of his acting career. Not able to achieve success as a comic, he took on a position as cameraman on television at a cable channel. This job is where he realized it was his dream to be before cameras. Then he landed a TV part, playing a number of seasons of Mister Rogers Neighborhood. He was a natural actor and became popular quickly on television. He embarked on the film industry with high goals and gained a lot of fame with his comedic roles. His fame was further elevated after he was praised for his portrayal of Batman in Tim Burton's Batman. As time passed the actor's acting abilities developed and he was able to look into directing and producing. The year 2014 saw his appearance as Birdman garnered him many nominations and awards.
